The first in this series is ‘Dinostars and the Planet Plundering Pirates’ published 5th May 2016.
On launching the publication of a new book:
Bright agent Arabella Stein said ‘What a brilliant day! You simply cannot beat the response of a live audience to a children’s book. Ben communicated the magic of the story and inspired the imaginations of fifty 5 year olds with his dinostars characters and his humorous facilitation. Working with children for a book launch is not only a great way to develop an artists workshop skills, it is the best way to celebrate the content of their work – with their target audience enjoying every minute!’
Using our local connections to schools, parents and children, the Bright Emporium is able to offer not only the space for a launch, but also the audience that really matters! For those children attending it is a chance to meet the author/illustrator, ask questions about how the book was made and get to know the creator of the book on a personal level.
High View’s Primary School’s Head of reception Roxanne Stanley said, ‘We had a great time and the kids loved it… We hope to come again. It’s a great place!’
With Dinostar masks being made, and queue’s for Ben to sign copies of books, there wasn’t a clear space left on the floor or the drawing table!
With an upcoming evening launch party for Fiona Woodcock’s ‘Hiding Heidi‘ (Simon & Schuster) publication in July, we are looking forward to working with more publishers, celebrating and introducing new exciting books and characters with our local families and schools.
Launching the first of five books in this series Bright can’t wait to share the rest in the series with our local community as they publish.
