Bright Lights at The Frankfurt Book Fair 2016…

The Bright agents had their second annual workout at The Frankfurt Book Fair this year, running up and down those halls meeting and greeting, sharing THE BEST in children’s illustration across the board.

We pride ourselves on the fact that we don’t sit waiting for clients and artists to come to us  — we find you, we share our beautiful and diverse portfolio, and we get the best results from this way of thinking —  despite having rather tired feet at the end of it all…

This year, we were very much focused on expanding our European client base in all areas — including educational, commercial, fiction and trade picture book illustration.

Here are just some of the highlights from our trip…

We saw our Bright artists at the fair, showing off their talent : Jorge Martin with a book cover in lights, and Stephan Lomp, who later this week will be having a doodle-off — opponent as yet unknown!

Who will be the greatest doodler?!

“It was great to see so many beautiful images from Bright artists on stands, including Richard Jones at Egmont, Migy Blanco at Little Bee and David Litchfield on the Quarto stand. Such a strong response to the new portfolio at Frankfurt made the fair an absolute pleasure.” Arabella Stein

Published artists: Dotty Lottie and Joelle Dreidemy.

“The Educational portfolio, at its core, showcased exactly what Bright artists do best; that is to illuminate subjects like dyslexia, bullying and growing up with sensitivity and a personal touch.  On any given day, their artwork has the chance to speak to a child and enrich their childhood experience.” Susan Beveridge.

We’d like to thank everyone we met, what an extraordinary few days it’s been and good luck to all of you who are still running up and down the halls of the fair — get those foot spas at the ready!
