The Bright Group looks for a new Artist Coordinator to join their team

As Artist Coordinator you will be working at the forefront of our company and your role will be of critical importance to our day-to-day operations. It is the point of intersection for Artists, Agents, Marketing & Design and requires a creative eye as well as propensity to be organised and forward thinking. You will be responsible for maintaining existing relationships with artists, as well as assisting in the growth and development of new talent.   As coordinator, you will be relied upon to communicate effectively to your stakeholders within the team.

Duties, Skills & Qualities required include:

  • Passion for children’s publishing and illustration is essential
  • Must possess an artistic eye with the ability to evaluate new artwork from 250+ artists and tag for categories: 5+, Black & White, Commercial & Gift, Education, Fiction, Picture Books
  • Managing new artist submission process and on boarding with support from Contracts & Agents
  • Collate new submissions and chair monthly artist meetings
  • Track artists’ progress and produce reports for Agents & Marketing
  • Be interested in new talent – look out and approach new artists and encourage them to join
  • Improve our new artist collateral
  • Supporting Marketing & Design: generate excitement about new signings and artwork from existing artists.  Ensure artists have up-to-date portfolio sheets and are included in campaigns to clients
  • Capability to be highly responsive to emails/phone calls- with a drive to problem solve end-to-end queries
  • Oversee and monitor artwork intern
  • Telephone cover and support
  • Working independently with great self-motivation, flexibility and initiative
  • Managing your own time efficiently including multitasking
  • Having the ability to manage different people’s expectations, balancing internal and external relationships
  • Maintaining integrity, values and ethics as a member of the Bright team and on behalf of our artists and clients


Salary, hours and benefits:

  • 9am – 6pm, 5 working days a week
  • Health Benefits and Pension Scheme in place
  • Salary: competitive
