2015 kicks off to an amazing start for Bright rising star Rebecca Elliott, as she attains a monumental order for her written and illustrated Owl Diaries series with Scholastic USA. Although this will be Rebecca’s first Author Illustrated series in the US, the rising star has been building momentum in the UK throughout 2014. Her illustrated Christmas book, Happy Hooves Oh Oh Oh!, with new publisher Fat Fox Books was both featured as a Christmas present for Prince George and it had it’s very own stand in Harrods!

Last November, Rebecca also made an appearance on BBC Radio 2 alongside nationally loved & publicly acclaimed Clare Balding, OBE. The interview, which took place in the last half hour of the show, focussed on Rebecca’s publishing inspiration as she tackles delicate ethical subjects such as disability and death. Rebecca’s author illustrated series for Scholastic builds on an impressive picture book career where she is the author and illustrator of Lion Hudson’s stand out series Just Because which features her own children, Clemmie and Toby. Rebecca had also illustrated and written successful titles for Bloomsbury and Templar before she began to work on the Owl Diaries with the team at Scholastic USA.
