Introducing Brand New Talent To Bright Art Licensing…

With 4 brilliant new artists on the Bright Art Licensing books, we’ve shared some of their lovely artwork with you below, as well as a range of new card designs from our roster of bright illustrators, from christmas to occasions:

After graduating from the London College of Communication in 2008, Emily spent some time working in arts education, running workshops with children in galleries and schools. A trip to Paris and its beautiful children’s bookshops re-ignited her love for children’s books and inspired Emily to create the illustrations for her first book A Dog Day.

It was only after the illustrations for A Dog Day were highly commended at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2012 that Emily felt a career as a children’s illustrator might actually be possible. Emily lives with her partner Fred and their daughter Josephine in Walthamstow, East London.

Jess is a recent graduate from Falmouth University and is currently living in a small town near Oxford.

Her work consists of simple shapes and bright colours, she makes these work by layering these shapes and playing with opacity and shadows. She enjoys working conceptually and so scale and perspective play a large role within the images that she makes. Her work comes across fairly decorative at first but she tries to include other hidden things within it.

Jon Lau graduated from Art Center College of Design in 2011. Through his intricate paintings, he tells whimsical stories that are inspired by nature, animals, and our interactions with them. He is based in Los Angeles.

Junyi Wu is an illustrator and designer based in Orange County, California and a graduate of Art Center College of Design.

She works traditionally in coloured pencil and gouache and digitally in Photoshop to create soft, layered pieces with a dream-like quality. Her work is largely inspired by nature, fleeting moments, and the feelings of everyday interactions.

Below are fabulous new christmas card and occasion designs by our Bright Artists. Enjoy!
