Show stopping Bright Art Licensing at PG Live and Surtex 2016

It has been a fantastically exciting month at Bright Art Licensing, seeing the company exhibiting at two major shows in the industry calendar – PG Live at London’s Business Design Centre, and Surtex across the pond in glorious New York – in the space of just a couple of weeks.

This year both shows were buzzing with energy and innovation, and saw excellent meetings with clients from the Greetings and Stationery industries, as we welcomed both familiar faces and new interest to the Bright stand to explore our stunning new portfolio! It was wonderful to see so many industry friends and to soak up the inspirational, creative atmosphere.

Showcasing arguably our best portfolio yet, we were thrilled to introduce our newest artist signings – such as Laura Coleman, with her gorgeously soft and sweet characters, and consummate watercolorist Ian Gillibrand’s beautifully delicate designs – alongside an abundance of brand new styles from our existing roster, including striking ink designs by Eva Byrne, vibrant colour and collage from Louise Wright, subtle colour and form from Julianna Swaney, and a host of super-fun characters from Clare Fennell, Stephanie Fizer Coleman, Jennie Poh and Dotty Lottie.

In addition to a raft of pre-show appointments, there was a constant buzz around the stand, as we hosted a back-to-back schedule of meetings and had the privilege of introducing new clients from an exciting array of new industries and territories to our talented artists’ work.

We were delighted to feature in the well-respected Art & Design Licensing Sourcebook, whose summer edition is bound in our very own Clair Bremner’s gorgeously-painterly abstract artwork, and which includes a veritable chapter of Bright artists’ work as well as a fabulous feature on Bright’s relationship with its artists and nurturing approach to building their careers within the world of licensing.

We enjoyed coverage in two esteemed industry publications, Art Buyer and Licensing Source Book, which celebrated the exciting new Gallery, Retail and Events space that we have launched in the past year to champion and promote the work of our artists to a much wider and more inclusive audience, as well as exploring the importance of that special agent-artist relationship to the success and benefit of, ultimately, all involved in the Licensing industry.

It has been a whirlwind fortnight, but a thrilling one at that, and a huge honour as always to represent such a stand-out portfolio of artists to our clients. A heartfelt thank you to everyone whom was able to attend – and to those who weren’t, we hope to see you next time!

We look forward to working with you all in the coming months to bring beautiful design to the marketplace, and wish you all a great week!
