AOI Illustration Awards now open!
The call for entries has now launched for this year’s AOI Illustration Awards! To coincide with this, the AOI have launched a brand new section of their website purely dedicated to the awards programme. Winning and shortlisted work from the competition can now be browsed readily and will continue to remain on the site in the archives once the next round of shortlisted entrants are announced. This fantastic new development allows long term exposure for all the Illustrators (Professional and Student) involved in the awards. Also, winning Illustration from 2002-2012 can be currently seen in the archives and the AOI are planning on building on this content over time.
The championing illustration from the competition will again be displayed in the AOI’s popular touring exhibition which is launched at Somerset House this October. Not only does this special exhibition receive an average of 40,000 visitors every year but the overall award is considered one of the most significant Illustration award programmes in the world. Whether you are working in the industry already or would just like to be, this award is a great chance to show case your talent and gain global recognition for your work.
Last year Bright had great success with Stephen lomp, Lee Wildish and Benji Davies, having all been shortlisted in the Professional Children’s Book section of the award. We urge you all to enter and wish you the best of luck this year!
